How to apply
Apply with the button below: it opens a short form. Teachers: use your school email address. Students aged 18 or over: attach a photo or scan of your current student card or enrollment letter, with everything except your name, your school and your enrollment covered, and confirm that you are 18 or over. We reply by email and delete the document from our mailbox once we have decided. The license runs for 12 months and can be renewed while you qualify.

Teaching a class? Everyone applies for their own license with the same form. Apply as a teacher from your school email address, and tell us in the message which course it is and when it starts. Then share this page with your students: each student aged 18 or over applies from their own email address, with their own student card or enrollment letter, and writes the school's name the way you did.
All prices are one-time license fees in USD. Taxes handled at checkout. Licenses are perpetual: when your update year ends, the plugin keeps working forever on every version released during your term.
What every license includes
Try everything first.
30-day trial at full quality — no card, no watermark. When it ends, you keep ValTerra Lite free forever: the same complete workflow at half quality — Medium (8 m) geometry, Half-resolution textures, 1080p captures, and up to 0.25 km² per photorealistic import. Terrain stays at full quality; schematic city too, within 4 km² per OpenStreetMap request in Lite (no fixed area cap in the trial or a paid seat). The ValTerra Sun is the one paid feature: Lite builds the Daylight system of Autodesk 3ds Max instead.
No usage metering. Ever.
ValTerra doesn't sell credits and never bills you for imports. Photorealistic features run on credentials you supply — your own Google Maps Platform key or a Cesium ion token — and that provider bills you directly. Their current terms and free tiers live on their own sites, not restated here.
